Connection to the Business Integration Platform Free of Charge Instead of Expensive Software Upgrades

Starnberg, August 23, 2006 – In a campaign beyond comparison, indatex / crossgate enables all companies to migrate their EDI processes to the Business Integration Platform (B.I.P.) free of charge and to, thus, benefit from the synergy effects of Europe’s largest EDI network. Due to the transaction-based model, the connected users only pay for the actually transferred data. There is no additional investment for hardware, software or upgrades. Moreover, a new business partner will be connected at no cost for each contributed interface. In total, this can lead to a reduction of the full EDI costs by as much as 50 per cent. The offer will be valid until December 31, 2006. All details are available under www.edi2all.de

Networks have already stood their test in the past—networks in the sectors power supply, postal services, and telephony demonstrate their worth in an impressive manner. The Business Integration Platform works according to the same principles. This is the only way to convert electronic data exchange into an affordable service. Some companies have already come to benefit from the new initiative of the specialist for cross-automation. “It is particularly on the industrial, logistics, and commercial sectors that we have determined major deficits in EDI. By means of our migration initiative, we want to increase the usage of electronic procedures and solutions for B2B processes significantly,” explains Stefan Tittel, Managing Director of indatex / crossgate. Many companies have their own EDI systems, but do not make use of them to a sufficient degree. The main reason for that consists in the high financial and time effort required to connect new partners.

It is particularly in this respect where the customers draw benefits from the strong network of the Business Integration Platform with a total of 30,000 connected business partners. The more companies are connected, the stronger are the synergy effects for all parties involved. Stefan Tittel: “We intend to democratise EDI by enabling every company to benefit from the advantages of electronic data exchange.”
